Weather: Not exactly rocket science!

Como pasa en los ascensores, voy a tomar "el tiempo" como excusa para escribir esta entrada. En inglés, como en español, hay muchas expresiones e 'idioms' relacionados con el tiempo, aquí van algunas:

"Every cloud has a silver lining" - No hay mal que por bien no venga

"To be under a cloud" - Estar bajo sospecha

"Lighting never strikes in the same place twice" - Un rayo nunca golpea dos veces en el mismo sitio

"To save some money for a rainy day" - Guardar dinero para las vacas flacas

"To feel under the weather" - Sentirse mal

"I haven't the foggiest idea!" - No tener la mínima idea

"To be a storm in a teacup" - Una tormenta en una vaso de agua

"Red sky at night shepherd's delight. Red sky in the morning shepherd's warning" - Si el cielo es rojo, los pastores disfrutan, si la noche es roja, los pastores se alertan.

"If a pine cone stays open, the weather will be fine; if it close then rain is on the way" - Si la piña está abierta, el día será bueno; si está cerrada la lluvia anuncia su llegada

"If seaweed stays wet it is going to rain, there is humidity in the air" - Si la alga se mantiene humeda, lloverá, hay humedad en el aire
